A South Korean pianist with two fingers on each hand - Lee Hui A - will perform in Japan for the first time this month due to a congenital birth defect, said the concert organizers. Lee (who is 20 years old), a student in the multimedia music department at the Korea National College of Rehabilitation and Welfare, will be playing pieces, including Johannes Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5 and Frederic Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu on Dec. 22 and 24 at concert halls in Tokyo. Lee was born with only four fingers. Since the age of 5 she has been practicing piano, continues to train for nearly 10 hours each day. In 1997 she held her first concert in South Korea and performed during the 2000 Sydney Paralympics. The organizers said, that Lee will return to Seoul on Dec. 23 to perform at the Blue House presidential office at the invitation of President Roh Moo Hyun.
